Diagnostic Imaging Radiographer & Radiation Protection Officer

Irina Tomita George

Irina Tomita George is a qualified Diagnostic Imaging Radiographer with over 10 years of experience across public hospital, private-sector and dental imaging services.

Irina Tomita George is a qualified Diagnostic Imaging Radiographer with over 10 years of experience across public hospital, private-sector and dental imaging services.

A graduate of University College Dublin, Irina developed her clinical experience at St James’s Hospital, Dublin, working across MRI, DEXA, general radiography, maxillofacial imaging and theatre-based imaging etc. She also worked within the Centre for Advanced Medical Imaging, supporting MRI research projects associated with Trinity College Dublin, and has further experience in private CT and MRI services.

For the past six years, Irina has focused on dental radiography and CBCT imaging as part of a multidisciplinary dental team. At Dental Imaging Ireland, she leads the scanning service and supports radiation protection, compliance, imaging protocols, image quality and safe patient pathways for referring dentists and specialists.
Outside work, Irina enjoys arts and crafts, running and many outdoor activities.

Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology Practitioner

Dr Daniel McIlgorm

Dr Daniel McIlgorm is a Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology Practitioner with postgraduate qualifications in dental radiology, CBCT imaging and medical education.

He holds an MSc in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology and an MMedSci in Medical Education. His advanced postgraduate training supports the delivery, interpretation and governance of dental CBCT imaging in Ireland.

Daniel worked in general dental practice for almost 20 years before focusing on dental and maxillofacial radiology. He has also contributed to dental education as a tutor at Dublin Dental University Hospital, including teaching in dental diagnostic imaging for undergraduate dental students and dental care professionals.

He maintains a close professional association with the Department of Radiography and Diagnostic Imaging at University College Dublin. His academic interests include digital radiographic image quality, radiation protection, clinical governance and the safe use of dental imaging technology.

At Dental Imaging Ireland, Daniel supports dentists and specialists with CBCT interpretation, radiology reporting, clinical guidance and education in dental imaging.
